I've always struggled with the girl in the mirror. The days that we get along are few and far between. Very rarely do I look in the mirror and see the things that I love instead of everything that I think is wrong with my body.
When I see the girl in the mirror I often don't think or say very nice things to her; things that I would NEVER say to another human being. So why is it that I think it's okay to say or think things about myself that I would say to someone else - a stranger or a friend?
I used to think that the whole "put positive affirmations on your mirror" thing was kinda cheesy and I've never actually done it myself. But as I was writing out ideas for this list in my notebook I was struck with how much power words can have. Especially when you write them out yourself and speak them our loud.
Here is a list of some positive, self-love affirmations that I'm going to start using.
💛 I am worthy
💛 I am beautiful
💛 I am enough
💛 I choose to be happy and love myself today
💛 I am unique
💛 I will not compare myself to others
💛 I deserve and accept the best
💛 I am lovable
💛 I am wanted
💛 I am proud of myself
💛 I will be a friend to myself
💛 I am alive
💛 I have control over my thoughts, feelings, and actions
💛 I am always growing
💛 I will be gentle with myself
💛 I will accept compliments because I deserve them
💛 I am the only me
💛 I am worth more than my appearance
💛 I was created for a purpose
💛 I am fearfully and wonderfully made
💛 I am valuable
💛 I am more than what I am feeling
💛 I am created in the image of God
💛 God delights in me
I hope that this can help us all to learn to love ourselves better. Remember; if you wouldn't say it to a friend, don't say it to yourself!
Thanks for stopping by. Stay positive. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay home.
Until Next Time,
