Looking Back (2018)

I’m sure many of you can agree with me on this….. 2018 was weird.

It’s like I was in a weird time warp. There are things that happened that feel like they were actually a lifetime ago. And then there’s the fact that it all just felt like a blur.

I feel like I’ve just been going through the motions of life, and that honestly kind of makes me mad. I have to rack my brain to figure out that all actually happened this year.

I’ve been scrolling through my photos from 2018 to pick out my favorites for a post (click here), and the number of times I’ve gone “Oh yeah! That did happen this year!” is sad.

There are so many moments that I want to remember well and look back on as being great parts of 2018

Moments like;
  • Friends weddings
  • Going to Theater in the Park (Twice!)
  • Leaving my jobs at Hobby Lobby and Sparrow
  • Starting my new job at the day care
  • Hitting a deer and totaling my car (not a great part of the year, but a good story!)
  • Meeting so many new people! So many new friends!
  • Going to my sisters’ soccer games
  • My Spring Break adventures
  • Taking my siblings out for their birthdays
  • Being in charge of the OCC Shoebox packing for my church.
  • Going to OneThing
  • Seeing friends at OT that I haven’t seen since last time

And I’m sure there are many other little moments worth remembering.

No matter how weird it was and how stagnant 2018 seemed to be, it was a year of growing and a year of learning. Learning more about life and about myself. Learning what kind of job I thrive in. Learning more about what I want in a man. Learning more about what I want out of life. Learning to care for myself more (and still learning! Maybe I’ll do a post on that sometime……)

I’m excited for the new adventure, lessons, moments, and people that 2019 will bring! God’s got some great things in store and I can’t wait to see what they are!

Until Next Time,
Tierra Rose
